Pastors and founders:
Look what God has done! This is a phrase we find ourselves constantly saying as a couple. We are constantly in awe as we look on at what God has and is doing with us all here at the freedomcentre.
Privilege, Pain and Passion would be three words that would describe our spiritual walk so far!
Privilege in that we were both born into Christian homes with Jack in Scotland and Susan in Lancashire. Both of us come from families who love Jesus and we were taught to serve and honour Him from an early age. What a privilege that is.
Pain because life can be painful and often it is your pain that leads you to your destiny. It’s true to say that probably the freedomcentre would not exist were it not for pain and the journey we came through. This enables us to have a heart and compassion for many of our people who have and know pain in their lives.
Passion is a word that is often overused but it is a word that best describes our desire for Jesus. Not to know more about Him, but to really know Him. Not to just have faith but live faith in a supernatural way. This is our passion, to build a freedomcentre which is radical, loves people and embraces all that God would have for us.
Our Story
We have three daughters Natalie (married to Jon) Charlene (married to Will) and Tanya, all who love and serve Jesus. We also have a dog called Poppy! We have also become proud grandparents.
We have lived most of our married life (30 years) in Preston, apart from when we were in fulltime Christian work with a band called Heartbeat (now NGM) for 5 years in the mid eighties! All of the time in Preston has been in leadership in two local churches one of which was a church plant.
We were ordained by T.D.Jakes at the Potters House in Dallas in 2004 and we are linked pastorally with him and his ministry. We praise God for all He has done and we are excited about what He is going to do!
Thank you for visiting us and we hope to see you soon.
